Labour Market Resource Centre

Open Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to Noon. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The full-time staff in the Labour Market Resource Centre, located in the downstairs office is here to support you with your career and employment goals. We offer a wide range of free Career resources in print and online. Our staff offer a variety of training and support including:

  • Resumé and cover letter design
  • Interview preparation
  • Application assistance for AISH, Alberta Works, and CPP-D
  • Life skills workshops
  • Budgeting workshops
  • Career and occupational assessments
  • Assistance with post-secondary planning

For individuals seeking refurbished resumés, or typed cover letters, our ALIS resource library has the tools you need to do it yourself, or let us take care of it for you.

The Labour Market Resource Centre is open to connect with Albertans who are looking for a career change, would like to return to the workforce, are unemployed, under-employed, or having trouble keeping employment. Our Labour Market Resource Centre offers access to our in-house job board, as well as public access computer and phone use for clients.

The Hanna Learning Centre’s Labour Market Resource Centre operates with confidentiality and can help guide clients to the programs and services available through the Hanna Learning Centre and Alberta Community and Social Services.

One-on-One Referrals

For individuals who may require extended support, Alberta Works may offer a referral based One-on-One service to achieve your goals. Career staff can work together with you on a one-on-one confidential basis to prepare an action plan to help achieve your career and employment goals. Career and Educational Planning–$85.00

The Hanna Learning Centre is proud to offer confidential individualized career and educational planning sessions to students and community members who are seeking assistance in exploring options for career and educational goals. Sessions are Monday to Friday by appointment. Call Ron at 403.854.2099 Ext. 209 to set up a time that is convenient for you.

Sessions include:

  • Career assessments and research
  • Occupational profiles and investigations
  • Personality assessments
